Dubai Customs to have intelligence department

DUBAI - Dubai Customs is finalising a new Intelligence department and Risk Management Unit which will allow the sector to better address international trade.
The reform is part of the authority’s drive to modernise through its strategy for 2007-2011 and draws upon expertise provided in an agreement signed with the Dutch Tax and Customs Department in June.
The authority deals with constant growth in international trade and the unit aims to better protect the emirate’s ports, especially through providing ready access and analysis of indepth sources of data.
